To update my original posting on my experience at Abertillery Tesco, I have been in there recently during the evening for small numbers of items and found checkout operators available, so it appears that the problem I experienced - which I assume was the result of a management decision - has been resolved. On the issue of Tesco staff, which some people have commented on, I must say that 99% of the time I have found Tesco staff to be polite, helpful and friendly. Smile

It is all down to bad practice management everytime, this can be said of organisations too Wink

It was very cheeky and rude of him to pick on all the tesco staff there is good and bad everywhere you go

Just wanted to say I popped in after work today. There were plenty of people on the checkouts, the lady who served me smiled and asked if I needed help packing and said goodbye when I left. So it can happen! Maybe because it is Friday everyone is in a better mood! Very Happy
