During the early 70s the school system in Aber changed and we went Comprehensive.  I went to Bryn Gwyn originally, then onto Gelli Crug for a year before going up to Nantyglo.

I was in 3A that year and have to say it was one of the best years I can remember!!  I think a few people from that time are members here? Cool
I was always one of the oldest in class as my birthday falls just after the start of the new school year, so I am about 6 months older than the other people that would have been in my year! Laughing
Eric Woods the RI teacher used to pick on me to read the Bible in Assembly a lot.  Rolling Eyes  I had long hair at that time and was never very tall,  so I got picked to play Mary in the Nativity that year too Embarassed  Still not very tall but it doesn't bother me now like it did back then!! Laughing

I can remember quite a few pupils that attended Gelli the same time as me and would love to catch up with them - I imagine we are all scattered about the country by now.  Question
I do come home to Aber about 4 times a year and it would be great to catch up Cheers,
Anita xx
